IT'S A KNOCKOUT FOR CANCER RESEARCH UK: UNDY FUN DAYWe would like to invite you to take part in It's a Knockout at Undy Fun Day on Sunday 22nd July 2012 at Undy Athletic Club. This event is a charity fundraiser raising funds in aid of Cancer Research UK, in collaboration with Tesco Distribution Centre, Magor. The event is to take place at Undy Athletic Football Club, just off junction 23 of the M4, NP26 3EN. There is a £500 cash prize for the winning team, and a £500 cash prize for the team that raises the most sponsorship for Cancer Research UK.
There will be a huge variety of stalls and attractions for all of the family including Bouncy Castle and Giant Slide, Water Walkers, along with Horse Rides, displays from our local Army Regiment, Police and Fire Brigade and all day long musical entertainment. There will be an all day BBQ and hog roast, along with other great food and craft stalls!
Teams
Anyone can take part in the It’s a Knockout challenge as long as you can form a team of 6-10 (Each participant must be over one metre tall). All teams are encouraged to dress in their own fancy dress themes/company T-shirts. A team captain should be nominated and should be of reasonable fitness. Each team will earn points on each game, with 12 games in total including Bungee Mats, Tunnels, Squeezies and many more. Each team is required to gain sponsorship for the event with a minimum of £500 per team (that's only 25 £2 sponsors in a team of 10). Points will also be awarded to the team who raises the most funds through sponsorship. Remember, you will be taking part in the event to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.Stalls
We are currently looking for stalls for the event, charging £25 per pitch (minimum donation) for the entire day. 100% of the proceeds from the pitches will be donated to Cancer Research UK. The event will run from 11-5pm. Stalls should include food stalls, craft stalls, kids games and other such of this sort.Sponsors
We are also looking for sponsors for the event. Sponsors can sponsor one of our teams who would wear your company logo for the tournament, one of our 12 games or an item at the event such as the bouncy castle. The sponsors logo will also be advertised on all promotional material and banners/ tarpaulins can be attached to the surrounding barriers of the location. We would like to run a raffle on the day for Cancer Research and are asking buisness’ if they are able to donate a raffle prize for this purpose. Donation of a raffle prize will also ensure your business logo on promotional material. For more information, contact Jess Churchill at undyfundayevents@gmail.com or call 01633 462705. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that you are interested in taking part in this event for Cancer Research.
Many thanks and Kind Regards
Jess Churchill
